Why are we named after the Myrspoven bird?

When it comes to energy efficiency, myrspoven (limosa lapponica), is one of nature’s greatest innovators and a great inspiration to us. This because myrspoven manages to fly roughly 13,000 kilometers nonstop from Alaska all the way to Oceania, the longest known non-stop flight in the animal kingdom.

The bird manages to finish this large trajectory in less than 10 days, with an energy consumption of 2.2 kWh, displaying one of nature’s most impressive energy efficiency managements known to mankind.

Our 1% vision

Our vision is to globally contribute to the real estate industry’s reduction of the carbon footprint of non-renewable kWh by 1%.

We will achieve our vision by making buildings dynamic assets in a modern energy system, using cutting edge AI technology to dynamically steer buildings to act as thermal batteries, making them a solution to the capacity problem instead of massive consumers in the energy system.

How it started

Myrspoven was Founded in 2017, it converges two different industries: Energy and Information Technology (IT). Our business concept is to help the real estate industry (and their associates) to save energy by taking advantage of the latest implementations on Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics.

Our vision is to globally contribute to the real estate industry’s reduction of the carbon footprint of non-renewable kilowatt per hours by 1%. Through our broad expertise of team members, Myrspoven has the tools, competence and driving force required to achieve this goal!

The company was founded by Anders Kallebo (CEO), who has a background as an engineer with experience in energy efficiency in the real estate industry. And Johan Brunius, with a background in IT, Artificial Intelligence and optimization theory.

Astrid started working at Myrspoven as a business developer in November 2021. Right from the start, she has felt at home thanks to the family-like atmosphere and the opportunity to influence her work.

For me, Myrspoven is an incredibly innovative company that houses highly competent and driven people in all our areas of activity. Here, all my colleagues and I have a great chance to influence our work and also to influence the direction of the individual teams. A great family atmosphere permeates the company’s whole culture, which is incredibly important for me to enjoy not only my work but also my colleagues.
